Burgers. Love them, ate them.
I came across Hunger Buster the other day at SM City Clark. It’s located in the mall’s very own food park which is called Tree Park. You can easily spot it as it’s the first kiosk you’ll see when you’re walking from the parking lot or when you are walking out of the mall towards the food park.
Fun Fact: Hunger Buster started out as a food kiosk in one of the country’s well-known schools, Ateneo de Manila University. They then expanded their presence in different areas within and outside Metro Manila. They opened a new kiosk here at SM City Clark early in September 2017.
Their best-seller is the DYING Burger topped with bacon, mushroom, and melted cheese. It costs Php120 but if you like some fries and drinks with it, you can add Php50. And this is exactly what I ordered and chose Green Iced Tea as my drink.
Average waiting time was 15 to 20 minutes but I received mine for less.
Their burgers don’t come as pre-made patties, instead, they have a whole tub of ground meat mixed with their special ingredients in the store. When you order a burger, they put the ground mixture into a mold and cooks them on top of the burger fryer. So in other words, your burgers would not taste like it was in the freezer for days.
The fries are medium thick. You can request for it to be extra crispy or extra soggy depending on your preferences. They provide you with ketchup as a dip for your fries but you can ask for mayo if you like.
While the burger will make you feel full and satiated, it needs a little more seasoning. It could also use some extra cheese to make up for the tasteless bun.
Otherwise, it’s good for the value it offers. It’s affordable, pocket-friendly, and a good upgrade from the burger shacks that offer buy1-take1s from the side streets (Pampanga has one in practically every corner).
Is it Instagrammable?
Unfortunately, they don’t serve it like the photos featured on their Facebook page here in Clark. So it will need all your creativity to make it a lot more yummy for your Instagram feed.
Hunger Buster doesn’t only offer burgers but also chicken wings, rice meals, and milkshakes. You can view their full menu here.
I have yet to try their other products but I will soon like to taste their milkshake.
If you want to try the Dying Burger from Hunger Buster, they turn on their lights from 4pm to 1am only at the Tree Park at SM City Clark.
